Combining focused ultrasound ablation with immunotherapy shows promising early disease control in lung cancer with liver spread.
A 10-patient feasibility study of focused ultrasound ablation + checkpoint inhibitor combination in wild-type NSCLC with liver metastases showed 80% disease control rate at 12 weeks and acceptable tolerability. While preliminary due to small sample size and short follow-up, this supports further investigation of FUAS as an ICI combination partner.
