WT1 mRNA in peripheral blood enables early prognostic stratification in AML patients receiving venetoclax and azacitidine therapy

In this multicenter retrospective analysis from the Okayama Hematology Study Group, early reduction in peripheral blood WT1 mRNA levels during VEN/AZA therapy was independently associated with improved OS and PFS in AML, supporting its use as a non-invasive monitoring biomarker. The retrospective design and unreported n limit immediate practice change, but results support prospective MRD monitoring integration in VEN/AZA protocols.
