This J Immunother Cancer preclinical study identifies podoplanin (PDPN) as a consistently expressed GBM antigen and demonstrates that a PDPN/GD2 CAR T cell blend outperforms single-antigen approaches by inducing higher apoptosis across heterogeneous GBM patient organoids and achieving tumor regression and cure in mouse models. The approach directly addresses intratumoral heterogeneity as a key CAR T limitation in solid tumors.
