Standard prostate cancer imaging can be completed in one hour instead of three without losing diagnostic accuracy, improving patient experience.
This prospective validation study demonstrates that 99mTc-DPD scintigraphy at 1 hour post-injection achieves equivalent ATTR-CM diagnostic accuracy to the standard 2.5-3 hour protocol while substantially improving patient comfort and workflow efficiency. The finding is directly implementable in nuclear medicine practice for the growing ATTR cardiomyopathy patient population.
