High Sensitivity ctDNA Analysis Using a Novel Panel and NOIR-SS Technology for Monitoring Advanced Urothelial Carcinoma.

Blood-based DNA tracking detected treatment response in advanced bladder cancer patients, opening doors to non-invasive disease monitoring.

Using a novel tumor-informed ctDNA panel with the NOIR-SS high-fidelity deep sequencing platform incorporating molecular barcoding, this feasibility study demonstrated sensitive longitudinal monitoring in 15 advanced urothelial carcinoma patients receiving ddMVAC, with ctDNA changes largely mirroring treatment response. While limited by small n and cost, the NOIR-SS technology may enable non-invasive molecular monitoring including detection of subclonal resistance emergence.

Why it surfaced

Novel high-sensitivity ctDNA platform (NOIR-SS with molecular barcoding) with feasibility data in advanced urothelial carcinoma. Small n=15 limits conclusions but demonstrates real-time monitoring capability including subclonal resistance detection.
