Artificial intelligence-enabled workflows in nursing and their impact on workload, emotional well-being, and workforce sustainability: A systematic review

This PROSPERO-registered systematic review of 20 studies found AI-enabled nursing workflows had mixed effects on workload and mainly positive effects on job satisfaction, but outcomes were highly dependent on organizational readiness, training quality, and workflow integration. The evidence is heterogeneous and relies on indirect workforce sustainability indicators, indicating limited maturity for policy-level recommendations.
