This prospective preliminary study evaluated multi-sequence MRI protocols for non-invasive diabetic nephropathy detection and characterization in high-risk T2D patients without requiring renal biopsy. The approach showed good feasibility and diagnostic accuracy, warranting larger validation studies for clinical translation as a kidney health monitoring tool in T2D.
