Long-term adherence to the Mediterranean Diet and risk of rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis: 20-year follow-up of the SUN project.

This cohort study examined OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the association between Mediterranean Diet (MedDiet) adherence and the risk of incident rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis. Key finding: CONCLUSIONS: High MedDiet adherence was inversely associated with the risk of incident rheumatoid arthritis among Spanish university graduates, whereas the association for psoriasis remained inconclusive.
