Prognostic value of different electrocardiographic criteria for left ventricular hypertrophy in Chinese community-dwelling older adults.
Combined heart rhythm patterns on an electrocardiogram can help identify which patients face higher long-term mortality risk beyond standard measures.
Objective: The predictive value of different single electrocardiographic left ventricular hypertrophy (ECG-LVH) criteria and their combined indices for long-term all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in Chinese community-dwelling populations remains understudied. Conclusion: The PLP and composite ECG-LVH criteria were associated with long-term mortality and provided modest incremental risk reclassification.
