BACKGROUND: Gliomas are highly malignant brain tumors characterized by an immunosuppressive microenvironment, which limits therapeutic efficacy and contributes to poor clinical outcomes. Crucially, single-cell and spatial analyses revealed that the biologically significant FZD5 signal originated predominantly within tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), where it colocalized with the M2 marker CD163.
