A systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated tibial plateau radiographic parameters as predictors of meniscal and ligamentous injuries, finding that lateral plateau depression (LPD) was the most consistent predictor of lateral meniscus injury with an average 5 mm greater depression in affected patients. Lateral plateau widening provided complementary predictive value for both lateral meniscus and ACL injuries, supporting its incorporation into standard preoperative injury assessment.
