Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second-most diagnosed age-related neurodegenerative disorder globally and is frequently accompanied by cognitive impairment that poses diagnostic challenges in clinical practice. By applying a qualitative approach to extract diagnostic patterns that clinicians recognize when administering the MoCA, this study provides a blueprint for future efforts to tailor cognitive assessments for detecting impairment in people with Parkinson's disease.
