Incremental risk of high-grade adverse events with immune checkpoint…
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the incremental risk of adverse events associated with immune checkpoint inhibitors, with or without poly(adenosine diphosphate-ribose) polymerase inhibitors, when added to first-line platinum-based chemotherapy for advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer. In the absence of validated predictive biomarkers or a demonstrated overall survival benefit, poly(adenosine diphosphate-ribose) polymerase inhibitor-based treatment intensification should be individualized and carefully weighed against its additional toxicity burden.

Acute leukemia therapy at a crossroads
Since the discovery of cytotoxic agents in the mid-20th century, acute leukemia has consistently served as a model for oncology research. In this review, we describe the evolution of leukemia therapy-highlighting historical trajectory across AML, APL, and ALL from uniform cytotoxic chemotherapy to molecularly targeted agents, antibody-based therapies, and chemo-free paradigms, while outlining future perspectives for precision hematology.

Small cell lung cancer is one of the most aggressive malignancies, characterized by rapid tumor growth, early metastatic spread and extremely poor survival. The integration of transcriptional classifications with genomic and functional approaches may help identify more robust therapeutic vulnerabilities and guide the development of more effective treatments for this highly aggressive disease.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a highly aggressive subtype with no specific therapeutic targets and a high risk of early metastases. Finally, this review emphasizes future integration of biosensors with CTC-derived organoids, microfluidics, AI, and multiplexed detection to enable portable, clinically deployable systems.

BACKGROUND: Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs) are the guideline-recommended therapy for resistant hypertension. Prospective studies are needed to determine whether GLP-1RAs should be incorporated into treatment strategies for resistant hypertension in patients with overweight or obesity.
